CEDAR – Center for Environmental Development and Recreation

CEDAR (CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT AND RECREATION) is a nature park in located in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon. Located just 20 minutes north of Malaybalay and 1 1/2 hours south of Cagayan De Oro. The place has a free flowing pool, a mini forest for trekking and water falls.

It is a project jointly managed and developed as an eco-tourism site by the Local Government of Impasug-ong and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). Its total land area is approximately 1,703 hectares with an elevation ranging from 600 meters above sea level to 1,200 meters above sea level. Approximately 373 hectares is covered with a combination of man-made and natural forest while a large area comprises Mount Kibuwa which is generally grassland in nature and made up mostly of igneous rock. The area has at least Five (5) natural waterfalls.

About Impasug-ong

Impasugong is strategically located in the northeastern part of the Province of Bukidnon. It is approximately 75 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro City, a good 1½-hour drive and it is half an hour away from Malaybalay City, the capital of the province.

With a total number of 13 barangays, it is characterized by mountains, deep canyons and gorges. What Is So Interesting About Impasug-ong?
The layout and terrain of this municipality makes it highly conducive to eco-tourism activites like hiking, mountain-climbing, nature watching, camping and the like. It's terrain of gorges allows for sporting activities such as bungee jumping and aerial cable cars. The cool temperature of the area (averaging from 16˚ C to 31˚C throughout the year), adds to its being an ideal location of eco activities.
